But it only happens when using dive & listen procedure after which it activates the compressor, but doesn't deactivate it. If you don't notice that, it will drain the battery on time compression quickly. And if you dive with the compressor still activated it will suck out all the air in the hull in no time too.
However when activating the compressor manually (not using dive & listen), it does switch off automatically.
BTW, is there any reason to use the Diesel compressor? When on the surface it seems to make sense to use the electric compressor and save the fuel, no?
Hatches and the compressor can now be automated by the crew, here are the details.
I must have missed this update thanks for pointing it out!!! now I can play the way I prefer!!!!
