Das Boot Mini Series
Thanks to waiting for the today's update, I bumped into a full-blown extended version of Das Boot movie, the Mini Series which conists of 6 episodes. I am not really sure about legal state of the free online streaming platforms, but there is one which has it: vumoo.id. Awesome fun :) (if you know German a bit)

4 series's. I think number 3 was the best.
But the original film still takes the top billing.

I might have to try and watch the recent series, I just couldn't get into it, think I was expecting it being more like the 1981 version. From what I saw it was mostly on land, Though it's been a while now.

Absolute classic war movie probably my favourite, especially the long version. The recent tv show, not so much lol

I just had a look on YouTube. And yes there is a 'part 2' to the film as well.
Good timing, as the dev's are in no hurry release this game yet.

This one was released in 2016 and its a director's cut - all recorded scenes, which were not in the original movie + remastered.

The series is from mid 80s and was for television only. it's about 5 1/2 hours long. the cineman version ist just a cut off. dirictors cut adds a little more detail. but the serie gets in to detail. it's basically the good watch, because you get deeper in the characters and all the stuff that happend. you can watch it on netflix

That new TV series is made 2018 and has 4 seasons as said before. I watched it couple months ago while I was waiting the beta.

I get a much different vibe from the miniseries than the movie!
And with the movie some things are different too. A few events are left unexplained in the theatrical version. But in the director's cut the dialog is occasionally dull.
It's best to watch all three versions.
