UBOAT
Um, how do I make the boat leave port?
Explored all around, clicked a lot of buttons, but don’t see how to make the boat move.

Didn’t do the tutorial as it said not to as it’s not correct.

Thanks

Give the Submarine a speed setting, since you are near the dock , set the speed to slow.

If you have "Collision Setting" turned on, also have someone at the new "Helmsman" Station.

A slow speed will still damage the submarine if it hits the docking area.

I suggest you refund the game while you can. As you might see by now already, it is nowhere near finished and you will regret spending money on it. The whole thing is a big mess. A few like it for its potential and because they never played a good uboat game, but this here is not going anywhere anytime soon, so better wait a few years until they get the basics right or there is another uboat sim. Pretty much every other uboat game is better than this.

"Pretty much every other uboat game is better than this." I disagree. Played SH3 and SH5 quite a lot in the past and this game is a major improvement. It's not a mess. What are the alternatives then? Or is it just a useless rant?

Hmm. Don’t recall seeing a Helmsman station. And I did look.

Just click on any setting on the engine telegraph. Just get the engine going. you will detach immediately from berth and start sailing

Like which one, for example? SH 5? A game that its own developers gave up on, left it unfinished, and is only playable with extensive modding that requires technical knowledge to apply? And this sounds to you like less of a rip off than this game?

Look at the Attack Periscope - to the right of that is another Station with a guy sitting - that is the Helmsman Station.

I waited to buy SH5 until it cost 5 euros. Boy those where the worst spent 5 euros in a long time. I'd throw it away if it wasn't a reminder for me to avoid certain software houses.

Agent Orange is just a troll who played UBOAT for only 13.5 hours considering his profile... You need to invest more hours of gameplay and be patience to get a good grip on this game.

And 25 Euro is almost a steal for a game like this. Especially the devs invest a lot time in this still Beta game.

Lol,SH5. I still remember fiddling around wih SH5 and mods for hours on end... :)

Silent Hunter games are only good with their respective mod soups :-).

Unbelieveable. The guy just sits around reading the discussion boards of a game he hates just to spew some bile about the game as a response to a valid request for help....I'd say that post gives a pretty clear window into a life of bitter frustration that has little or nothing to do with the game...

The dude shows up on new threads in the forum to spew negativity on a game he doesn't even play or like for the last month or so. Thats a dedicated hater right there. Undoubtedly he's spent more time posting the same exact criticism of it than he has logged in it. Just a glimpse in to the personality type of the person you're dealing with here. I can't imagine how many hours I'd have logged on games I like if I had that sort of free time.

The fanbois are hating again. How about you spit out some facts instead of calling out the "potential" of this. The game will never see a full version, sorry to break it to you. It´s time to face the truth. Fake reviews and just insulting critics won´t make it better. I played this long enough to have a valid opinion, the game itself is very easy once you get the hang of it, half your crew will be having iron crosses all over their uniforms, just sort out the bad apples. Don´t make it look like you need to invest a lot of time to master this. Stick to facts. Blue light, varied food, sortng out bad apples and that´s all there is to this game. Then you can do the missions and see how shallow this game is.
LetGodSortThemOut Jul 16, 2020 @ 10:49am
You're opinons are so 'valid'. You are the 'master' of subsims. You are totally not a 'fanboi'.

Message received. No further convincing necessary. No need to come back to Uboat Forum every couple days and repeat yourself. We get it.
