And U-47 was a Typ VII B not a C like U-96.
Another movie error is the saw fish on the conning tower, at this time it had the bull of scapa flow, the symbol of the 7. u-flottila, individual malings werent allowed anymore since may '41, and befor that U-96 had the bull on the front and the fish on the sides.
Many pictures of u-boats with the saw fish are just boats of the 9. u-flottila after mid '42.
I am aware it is a film error, hence my distinction in the initial post, "(Film version)"
I am also aware that 47 was a VIIB boat. The point remains that loads of early war subs had them, and it does make them a tad more menacing looking, so it would still, nonetheless, be a neat addition to the Type VII's we have ingame.
Unless they have added new behavior in a patch since the last time I dealt with them. The anti submarine nets don't seem to be finished. They don't have "physics" built into them. They won't ride up your jump wires. You can't deform them with your submarine when you hit them. You don't get tangled in them. When you snag them you don't drag them. etc
They just make noise as you sail over them.
sailing under the sub net like so
