That you can switch the lights to red and blue should already take you out of immersion.
German u-boats in WW2 didnt had red and blue lights
No they had not, check your history.
The boats had only 3 light circuits and every compartment had only 2 (from the 3), for redundancy, not to change colors.
All they could do was dimming the light.
It doesnt even make sense to change the light in the whole boat, it only makes the work for the crew more difficult if they have to work in red or blue light.
I assume the reason people believe there was red/blue light is the Series/Movie
"das Boot" where it is shown. As far as I know, it was pure fantasy.
Although I must say, I love the blue/red light :) it should be in it, I want to have fun
and not an 1000% accurate historical correct simulation. It is good as it is implemented
now
