Unable to Dock

I have done a patrol and sunk all the tonnage.... gone back to Port Wil and it won't let me dock?
I am stuck at the barriers into the dock.... how do I get past this?

Those barriers are locks, similar to the Panama Canal to keep the water within the port of Wilhelmshaven at a certain height. Think of it like an airlock.

Just drive through it and the doors will open/close for you automatically.

Appreciate the reply.... but all I see is those locks and I can not pass.... they seem to be set for outward passage only.... IE outward facing arrows
If i try to drive through them now, I just hit them and stop.... is there another way in that I don't see?

Right-clicking on the port from the map view will chart a course automatically through the locks. But otherwise maybe you should try going through the one on the left when coming in to port.

Remember one thing, don't try to move through the gates by manually steering the rudder. Like McDewgle said, charting the course to port via map will automatically path you through the left lockgate. Then the sub will automatically stop in front of the inner gates and stay that way until the gate opens. DON'T TRY TO MANUALLY GO FORWARD AT THIS POINT or else the opening of the gates can glitch. The sub will start again automatically once inner gates are open.

I have tried all this and still the same result... I think its bugged completely...
If I set the course to auto dock the sub just crashes straight into the lock gates.... if I approach straight on at the slowest speed the gates won't open either....
Lame... guess I have to start the game over again....

Same problem and on one of the tutorial missions, little bit ridiculous - I've done 3 of the tutorial missions and each time failed to get back into port and simply started a new game.

Port of Wilhelmshaven shows in RED. It is an enemy port/

SOMEWHERE along the line during your patrol, you fired upon a friendly sub. Does NOT have to have been deliberate. I once engaged a surface freighter with my deck gun and shot long. As (bad) luck would have it, I hit a friendly surfaced sub with that shot, and became an "enemy of the state".

Either restore an older save, or start a new campaign.
