the video is from the start dead silent.
I dont believe that is realistic. its quiet down there. I know its not the uboat. What im saying is... it SOUNDS like an engine. and the ocean doesn't make that sound.
I've done commercial diving for work. cleaning the bottoms of boats. and im not very deep.
the ocean is not loud. it is very quiet

This noise does not seem far fetched for me now. They went down kilometers and it is was still loud, we are closer to the surface, so we should have even more noise.
"Basically, the background noise in a fairly quiet part of the ocean is comparable to the noise from a vacuum cleaner (70 dB). But the noise from a fairly modern nuclear submarine is approximately 110 dB at 1 meter from the hull (subtracting the 26 dB gives you an equivalent sound in air of a diesel truck passing by at 50 feet, or of a 45 mph train at 100 feet). So, in order for the transients such as dropping toilet seats, or playing cards, to be tactically significant, I believe they would have to be at least as loud as the other noises emanating from the submarine - and that is pretty darn loud."
