Unity Crash
I am on B129 hotfix 4 and have been experiencing Unity Crashes. It never happens when I am in the map view. But will happen at random and frequently when on the surface.

I have verified my files twice now without issue.

Here is my output log. https://pastebin.com/ukw4T0tV

Please help!

Deleting temporary files

Delete the Cache, Datasheets and Temp folders located here
C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\LocalLow\Deep Water Studio\UBOAT
If you cannot see this filepath make sure "show hidden folders" is enabled in Windows

Validating your game files

  1. Go to your Steam library
  2. Right-click UBOAT and select Properties
  3. Find the Local Files tab and click "Verify integrity of game files"

Disable your mods

Always a good idea to disable your mods (if you're running any) to see if the issue is caused by a mod you're using or if it's being caused by the game itself.

Is your PC up to date?

Check Windows Updates to make sure you have the latest updates installed, including optional updates as these might contain important files to running Uboat.

Also make sure to update your graphics drivers. AMD users check your Radeon app, Nvidia users check GeForce Experience.

Start a new game

There's a chance your save file might be corrupted. It's wise to always start a new game after a new patch or when disabling mods as some mod data will embed itself in your save file.

Here is from my most recent crash with output log while trying to interact with a lifeboat just three minutes ago. https://pastebin.com/fLWBfgV5

Your RTX 3070 driver needs updating, otherwise everything looks good? Try checking windows updates to see if you have any pending updates? Especially optional updates.

I forwarded your pastebin to someone smarter as well in case there's something else.

NVIDIA update done. Installing the optional update "cumulative update preview for windows 10 version 21H1 for x64-basesd systems". Other than that - thats all i got for now.

Will post another pastebin link if it happens again. Thanks!

Well that was quick. Updated everything. I had it paused for about 15 minutes. Came back to the screen as it was crashing.

I do not see anything remarkable in this output log though.

Just emptied everything out. Played for about 45 minutes without issue! Need a longer session to know for sure though. Maybe later tonight or tomorrow. Will post what happens! Thanks

Hi _Ares_,

If it should crash again, post the crash dump as well.
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\Deep Water Studio\UBOAT\Crashes

Good luck and good hunting!

Cheers Ruby
