2 bugs I have found (flags & radio)
Hi,

2 bugs have been reported to me due to possibly being related to my mods (BdU CR and HF) but I have investigated in vanilla and I have found they exist there too. I tried to use the in-game reporting system but my reports could not be delivered?

Tests done with B129p3, no mod (made sure to clear cache & data sheets)

1. CTD on decoding cancel

If you receive a message from BdU, for example the "flavour" message at the beginning of the 1942 Bergen start, and you start decoding it with your radio officer then press "cancel" the game with CTD instantly with no information in the output_log.

2. Flag inconsistencies

I've found that some ships/groups have flag issues. This seems to affect neutral groups. If I use detect all to find groups on the map I see a lot of British flag on the group icons. Teleporting in to inspect the ship can turn to be a neutral. But then icon when viewed in the UZO/periscope once identified shows a different country than the flag being flown. This also happen when zooming in the map where the icon on the bottom left will show the flag that is on the 3D model (so different than before) but the tooltip info when hovering the mouse over the contact will show the country originally displayed in the UZO view.

The second point happened to me too, but it isn't a bug. Simply there are allied ships that use a different flag to not be attacked, as a sort of camouflage.
On map the info tab will show the flag on the mast, but your officers will recognize the real affiliation.

Eg. in your images you could think the ship is affiliate with Greece, since the flag on the mast, but your watch has recognized it as a Sweden ship.

I don't think that's right because that defeats the purpose of having possible false flag ships if your officers are going to figure it out... especially given that the country recognition is inconsistent in the menus.

Also why would Sweden, a neutral, fly a false neutral flag?

(Also it's Argentina, not Greece 😉)
