Nomographs for targeting
Skippers, I posted 3 Nomographs in the UBOAT Artwork.

This Time-Speed-Length Nomograph is scaled to calculate ship speed:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2408840531

This Distance-Speed-Time Nomograph is scaled to calculate torpedo run time:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2408839736

This Nomograph calculates Lead Angle from angle on bow and speed of ship and torpedo:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2408851450

In a previous lifetime I made nomographs with a sliderule. I found a Python based Nomography program abandoned on SourceForge and updated it to Python 3 to get it to run. I am still learning the program functionality and have some additional charts in mind. Let me know if you find them useful.

Logarithmic scale

A slider ruler "math ruler". in the Uboot film, a Officer use one.

i have one from my grandfather.

the Angriffsscheibe had a circular math ruler.

slider rulers "math ruler" have a logaritmical scales and use logaritmic properties

log (a * b) = log (a) + log (b)
log (a / b) = loog (a) - log (b)

with this, they could quickly solve many calculations. i have used it (XXI century) with electromagnetic gains calculation (decibelio)

I learned to make nomographs in college (B.C., before scientific calculators) and would use a straight edge with my decilog sliderule to mark out the scales. I was happy to find PyNomo to make these charts, making these by hand is a pain. I hope your g'pa showed how to use the 'math ruler'.

Hello, would you give your authorization to use these in a Silent Hunter III mod?

If thoses are the scales you want. I can make pdf or esp files for your mod and would like credit for the chart, "Jeff Sandys". Also working on range-angle-height, parallax offset calculator, and a T-S-D for long range travel. The PyNomo program hasn't been updated from now obsolete Python 2 and partially documented so taming it is a challenge.

Thank you, a png image is fine. It would be useful if you have them without the example calculations. If I use them it would be for GUI mod and I will surely credit you.
Regards
