My game doesn't launch

Simply that, I played my first 2 hours yesterday, but when I wanted to launch the game today it didn't start. I restarted my pc and verified the game files but it solved nothing

What Version if the game are you running ?
Also, are you attempting this from the Desktop, or through Steam?

Hello, I'm playing on b128 Hotfix 4 and from steam. The launcher starts, but when I click play it closes.

Looks like the game needs me to validate it again every single time I play. The launcher opens fine but when I try to go any further it just fails.

The only time I see that happen is when files are getting blocked by your system.

Make sure uboat.exe and steam.exe are added to the exceptions list of Windows Defender, Windows Firewall (they are SEPARATE apps, check both) and any third-party AV software on your system.

And then verify your files again.

Likely a OS file protection or 3rd Party Anti Virus Software flagging and deleting files

mine just did the same an hour ago. i followed the Steam File Validation instructions and it fixed UBoat for me... lots of maintenance for this game so far, but it keeps it working and I'm still playing. Enjoy

So about UBOAT.exe being blocked, avast didn't warn me about this the first time so I added steam to the exception list for avast. Then it blocked it and warns me, then you can add UBOAT.exe to the exception list for avast from there which eliminates you having to verify games files through steam every time you wish to play the game.
