Oh, geez. I searched for that, too, but I searched Type IX so it didn't pop up. Thanks.
I see your taste is impeccable.
there's an Akula class mod!!!!! I love the Akula
I have not. For whatever reason, SH3 with GWX developed some kind of recurring memory leak and now it won't go away even with the vanilla game. I can play for the first two years or so before the game begins slowing significantly until it crashes on loading any nearby objects outside of port. Obviously, that is extremely disappointing, as I earn my type XXI boats with my playstyle, probably to the point of deserving an Akula, but at least I've got U-boat and its excellent gameplay. Still needs more torpedoes, though.
I was thinking, the new narrative mission feature could be used to add the external reload process to the game in a real way. Locked based on speed, weather, and possibly time of day moving the torpedoes inside could be a self interaction just like any off the boat mission. Depending on where you're patrolling it'd really make you stop an wonder if those last two are worth floating on the surface helpless for a few hours.
