Data Sheets Folder / General.xlsx file / Background page.
Look for the line that states underwater brightness or similar.
Adjust the value in the last Column.
Default is something like 2.0
Change that to something higher.
The other values that control this is Hardcoded.
You are correct, these values make the boat “Glow” which doesn’t look good.
The key is changing the deeper ocean color to something lighter, which will probably take a Programmer , and Not a Modder .
Perhaps an option for this is a solution.
