How do I get a wolfpack mission?

I've played like 15 hours in career and haven't seen a wolfpack mission yet. Is there something specific I have to do to unlock one?

I don't think there are wolf pack missions per se. Other Uboats may show up when you encounter convoys but you do not have any control over that.

Of course there are Wolfpack missions. You receive a radio message and the Subs meet at a certain position. After that you can command the subs.

Do they just happen randomly when out at sea? I have't ever received a radio broadcast for to group up with other subs.

Yes, you get a radio message (side-mission).

I havent checked or read about: Is the mechanic like in Aotd (and SH3 mod), you cover the convoy, send reports and wolfpacks will likely appear on the scene? Or is it currently just random?

I recieved side mission to assist friendly sub with supplies. then you can control them, the same as any friendly sub in the game. When they leave your sight then you cant give them new orders.. And you cant time warp with them nearby

HI,

No, that has nothing to do with it.

You get a wolfpack mission and a coordinates on the map. If you arrive this area within the time, there are subs and you get more information about the convoy.

Then you can attack the convoy with all Subs, if you want...

After close to 400 hours, I have yet to receive a radio message for a wolfpack mission. I encounter other U-boats randomly that I can order to attack convoys. And that's all I know.

I've only gotten one message so far, and it was early in the game where I was giving myself a tutorial by fire. I was headed to LaRochelle with almost no fuel and torpedoes left when I was radioed about a Wolfpack gathering near Liverpool awaiting a convoy arriving from the west. Had to give it a pass. Limped into port on my electric motors that's how bad a shape I was in.

Got one first mission on very hard/very hard. I think the hint is in the history narratives: wolf packs didn't start until much later in the war when the Allies responded by moving in large groups.

On my play through I started 1939 I'm 1942 August now.. I done about 20 missions sunk about a .million tonnes, must have done about 15 -20 side missions maybe more? Sometimes i get 2 in one run.. anyway never got this mission yet

I've had other subs show up after I've sent contact position report radio messages as I'm stalking a convoy. They've attacked as well. Whether as a result of my radio reports, or just coincidence they were in the area too is unclear.
