Cant put markers directly on map contacts.

I cannot use map tools to mark for speed, route estemations or other measurements manually, must put it besides the contact markers otherwise i cant put it on the map. AI automations or not, it really grind my gears.

I'm lucky. I can still place pins directly on ships to mark their course, speed, and distance. Can do this paused and un-paused.

Sometimes if I zoom in too close, the game will not allow me to place the markers, so I have to zoom out just a little bit, and then it works.

Thanks, I try to zoom out more. Still, hard to get over old sh3 habits for me.

I can understand that your must be able to click on the icon, but if if you enabled a map marker tool you don't have to and I would regard it as sloppy programming.

Or at least dont show it in close zoom but after you zoom out, make tool tips, dunno.

Also if you have a objective point on world map, you can't add it to the waypoint queue, it deletes everything in between unless you place it way besides.

+1 .. still working around symbols on the map just to place a marker or draw a line from it

Once a mark is placed you can drag it around the map. Place it next to the contact marker then drag over top.

Yes indeed . . . I figured this one out a while back by accident. Wish I learned this method earlier. Works great.
