UBOAT
POW bug or not?
I just wanted to ask anyone if they came across this before I go and post full buggy report with pics.

Anyone come across Pontoons that have Red names? unlike the others that float with wreckage when I right click on them to open up it showed the icons of people. When the pontoon was put onto my deck my watch officer with the machine gun took them prisoner.

has anyone come across this yet? is this an actual bug or did they activate the game mechinisim.

The Red pontoons come off the "liberty" merchant ships but the wreckage crates are all empty
The "N-A1" the Red pontoons are empty but the wreckage crates are full.

depending what people post here I'll decided to make a bug report with the vid n screenies

I never tried that myself. U-boats rarely took prisoners due to limited space on board. There have been cases of U-boat crews handing out food to survivors and radioing their position when night fell. Reinhard Hardegan even forced a neutral freighter to stop and directed it to pick up survivors from a ship he torpedoed. As filthy as WWII was, there were still men of honor.

The names being red is what got my attention otherwise I wouldn't have bothered either I normally just shoot/sink em. The Pontoon stayed on my deck soon as i got back to port I got extra points. I knew the code was in the game I didn't see in the patch notes they activated it yet.

iirc there was strict order for crew to not take prisoners after incident when u boat sank cause being attacked while got POWs on deck https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1344460/U-boat-skipper-ruthlessly-torpedoed-British-ship-defied-Hitler-rescue-survivors.html

This is not in dispute - this is purely about an observation that was made during game play. I wanted to know if I should make this a bug report or if this an actual mechanic.

Here is one of the screenshots I took

The Two red pontoons each contained a picture of a crew member, that I was able to take prisoner. When I got out of the area and completed the mission I was awarded extra budget for capturing 2 prisoners.
