Console Help - Some quickie helpers for the masses

With the issues being experienced, this might help you interact with the game in a more friendly, productive way. In any case, it should help find the problems without the problems stopping you from doing so. At least, it made all the crashes and lost progress hurt less.. for me.

These commands are case-sensitive so you have to cap the first letter, so entering "budget 10000" won't work. It has to be "Budget 10000".

Also, be sure to close the console before continuing. The last command is auto-buffered to be entered again. A little tricky to erase the last command to enter a new command, but once you notice the issue and how to resolve it, you never forget to do it. I've resent the last command too many times not to mention that little problem, especially when you're skipping 3 days at a time... 3 times in a row... before I realized I was spamming the last command several times.

Console Commands:
Budget [number] - Add money. Default is 10k.
Leak - Create a random leak on your sub.
Reputation [number] - Increase reputation points. Default is one point.
Skip [number | day, hour, minute, second] - Skip # of segments game time. Default is days. ex = Skip 2 hour, Skip 30 minute, Skip 3 would skip 3 days. Skip 3 day 2 hour 30 minute will only skip 3 days, and ignore the 2 hours, 30 minutes.
Teleport [N | E] - Teleport to NE coordinates. Coords can be found using Map. SW are negative.
Weather [Fog, Calm, Cloudy, Storm] - Change weather.
XP [number] - Add experience to selected crew member. If none selected, gives to all crew boarded. Must be in the crew roster as selected to be a crew member.
Spawn [Warships, Convoy, Transport, Submarine] - Spawn enemy groups in front of you.
Torpedo - Launch torpedo at selected target, generally from where the mouse cursor is and 500m.
Wound - Adds wounds to the selected crew member.
Bomb [target] - Use small aerial bomb on selected target. No target selected? Drop bombs on you.
Detect [number] - Create random group near your position

Teleporting using the Map
If you open the map and place the mouse cursor where you want to go (even zoomed in on a port, as long as your in map mode) open the console and type 'Teleport' and press enter, close the console, and it will have teleported you under the cursor location. To get the coordinates from that, open the console again, and the Teleport command should be highlighted. Press CTRL-C to copy the coordinates used to teleport to where you are. NOTE: Only the coordinates, separated by a comma and without the Teleport command, are copied to your clipboard. Once you have these, you can refine the location even further manually or by using the mouse cursor/teleport combo.

BTW, The Neutral port on the African coast... looks like ... a texture testing area.

For sector patrols, by using the map coordinate display, you can teleport to your search grid corner, report in, teleport to the opposite corner and then back, and you should have all of the distance traveled for the mission. Need an extra leg for the 3500's

Thank you! I've crashed almost half way home from a difficult mission trying to save. Alas, the save didn't work and now I have to do part of the mission again and the evac is extremely tricky. All the more when you have to cope with MTBs seemingly teleporting in right next to you...

oh thank you for sharing, didn't know there was a console.
that makes testing through different aspects of the game possible without having to grind through all over again.

For the upgrades you can start the research , and then use the 'skip' command to ffw the time, and repeat when finished...

You don't need to type in coordinates, just type "Teleport" then move the mouse pointer on the map to where you want to teleport to, then press enter.

The coordinates work in a Right-thumb rule. Positive number East, Negative number West. Same goes for NS, positive for North, and negative for South.

I can't seem to get that to work. Any special trick? I type in Teleport and click and nothing, even pressing enter then clicking, nothing

Place the mouse pointer on the map where you want to teleport to. Open the console and type Teleport, then press enter.

You should visit that neutral port on the African coast... it's worth the trip!
