Enemy subs?
Will this game ever include the encounter of enemy submarines?

Allied subs didn't play a role in the Atlantic and USA used their subs in the Pacific against Japan ( -> Silent Hunter 1).

Atlantic no, but everywhere else (where there was axis shipping) - yes.
The Royal Navy's Submarine service was very active in the North Sea an Med though out the war, they had the second largest sub fleet in world in 1939 - 313 submarines commissioned by the wars end. they sank about 15 Uboats, many tons of Axis shipping. Suffered heavy losses and had some major successes - especially in the Med where pretty much trashed Rommels supply chain to north Africa... and that just the Brits.

Just because we never played a game or saw a film of it, it doesn't mean it didnt exist. :)

And yes the game looks like it will have Enermy subs, as AI torpedo controllers are in place already and they have a model of a UK and a US submarine in their list.

It's over 3.5 half year and this game has not changed much. The Publisher is with another Developer doing a new game for "Aircraft Carrier Management" which looks very similiar to this one and I also think it's the same people behind working on it. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Scam.

so much wrong with this post... let me help you out.

3.5 years since released on steam. (longer if you count the development time prior to release). I am sorry a team of 3-4 devs cant make one of the best looking subsim games in just a few weeks. Please show us how quickly you are able to do it almighty master of making games/software.

The Publisher 'Playway' has some limited publishing rights to 'Aircraft Carrier Surivival' however is not the primary publisher, CreativeForge Games is the primary publisher and has worked with Playway in the past.

The developer is Gambit Games Studio (15+) a significantly larger development studio to that of Deep Water Studio.

You think its the same people.... so the primary developer of DWS, which is also the lead coder, and designer of UBOAT runs an entirely different company? Amazing. please share your sources for this.

"3.5 years and this game has not changed much" U must be blind or something.

Then, what you expect? Is an uboat simulator, changes oriented to continue being that. 3.5 years, is not a big dev studio. And developers and editors are not the same lol

And the final point is, how the game is now, i have fun? Yes, and im waiting the changes

I tell you a secret, dont tell anyone else, Play Way is with many, many of other developer, on their website they have listed 44 upcomming games. Play Way has little to do with developlent.

Enemy Fast Attack Craft (I forgot the name, it's basically like a tiny speedboat) already in the game can actually fire torpedoes at you if your boat is surfaced.

I was under the impression IRL sub-vs-sub encounters were extremely rare in WWII. Torpedoes of that era were mostly surface-skimmers too so you won't be seeing underwater combat. More like a torpedo hitting the enemy surfaced sub, or a deck gun attack.

(Underwater torpedoes did exist like the Mark 24 "Mine", but subs typically only carried anti-surface torpedoes because the whole point of submarine warfare is to target enemy shipping, which is on the surface.)
El Rushbo Aug 14, 2022 @ 6:04pm
Nearly all sub vs. sub encounters involved one being torpedoed on the surface by the other sub. The only known incident where both were submerged was when the HMS Venturer sank U-864. And that was largely a calculated lucky guess.

you do realise publishers don't work with one developer at a time??

Yeah as El Rushbo said, Sub and Uboats did encounter and each other, but only while one or both were surfaced, bar the U-864/Ventura incident. I been away a while I have not idea what the development status of Uboat is anymore. but its old enough now that i'd expect they will be looking to wrap it up soon.
