SUGGESTION: Please replace American accents with English voice actors affecting a German accent.

I, like most of the playerbase do not speak or read German; so having English speaking voice actors is great.

However, the decision to use American accents is utterly jarring and makes it feel like a Fleet Boat simulator rather than a German Uboat.

May I suggest replacing the current accents with a 'German speaking English' accent?

Lol, If you want immersion play with german voice, I dont understand ♥♥♥♥ german, but i use it, no bloody "english voice with Arnold Shwarsenegger accent" would make it more beliable, I rather see them spend the resources to get more german voice actors and make this even more autentic. There is subtitles ya know, I even start to remeber all commands so I actually turned of subtitles ingame,,,

I know it's tradition in the US to remake everything that isn't murrican, but here in Europe we still understand that it kills immersion. That's why you have movies like "goodbye Lenin" in France with subtitles....because changening the voices (and thus killing the accents) is still a no-go here.

Of course, I guess there will be a modding community later on to implement Schwarzenegger as Voice actor for a submarine full of "I'll be back" saying terminators

I see no difference in English or American on a U-Boat, even with an accent (Vee have vays, you know...). I am Dutch so I speak both English and German and to have the best feeling of immersion I always play U-Boats in German.

well they have done the same with the movie "Das Boot". The english synchro is actually spoken by the german actors.

O god, did they really dub that movie too, image spoiling a old classic like that, just so the 'muricans can hear their own language because they dont want to acknowlegde that there is anything intresting outside of their own country and they cant see further than their own nosetip..

I hope one day, booth movie and gaming indurstry in europe stop catering to these imperialistic fools

well how would they have seen the film without learning german if they wouldnt have done a synchro. I actually think its a pretty unique approach. Even we have our german voice actors for american or english actors. Not everyone is watching movies in original version.

do you know what subtitles are ?

I watch movies in foreign languages in a regular basis...even in our cinemas we can have movies in Islandic or slavic languages.

Mind that those are not brainless hollywood movies also...

Idiot, subtitles, I hate when holllywod makes movies about an foreign country, and they ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ speak english with stupid accents, reminds me of old spagetti western...jeez its awful, how can they even enjoy it?

I mostly watch european movies nowadays exactly because of you stupid americans, or should i say stupid germans, because in europe your the last country to still use dubbing, Im very annoyed when on holiday in germany, and want to watch tv, and they speak badly synced german when there supposed to be another language...

I watched The german hitler movie about hes last days, if the movie was dubbed to eanglish for me to undestand, I would never have watched it, im Norwegian BTW. Same in my Uboat, Having english aboard kills to immersion tenfolds, if it was a US sub, then I would want English

when i want to read i grab myself a book. and actually i also enjoy watching movies especially for their synchro too since its an art of its own. But watching movies in original sound version also is a pleasure ofc.
