heavy AA guns

does anyone know if there are heavy AA guns you can add to your sub, like the quad 20mm gun or the long range 37/40mm

not that i can think of,i know historically type VII'S had 37mm(one anyway) but they were mainly on the type IX boats dont think the VIIC(which is the sub you control in uboat) ever had a 37 mill though could be wrong though

they also had like 40-50 crew aboard too though so hmm

When you upgrade your conning tower you get different mounts it seems like.

in SH3 the VIIC tower 3 has a heavy flack gun at least

The second tier conning tower brings 2 twin Bredas and a C/30 to the party - I believe that is a 37mm, right? The mag sure looks big enough.

Oddly, they all use the same ammo. I hope that gets fixed!

Maybe best to let them use the same gameplay wise, while space was limited on subs I doubt its accurate in game with such a small amount of slots available.

The VIIC (which was the most common U-boat type) was from 1944 on wards typically fitted with one 3.7cm automatic M42 U on gun-carriage LM 42 U and two double-barrelled 2cm 38 M II on double-LM 43 U.

Conning tower 4 brings a quadruple aa gun and then one single barrel one (I forget what they’re called) I’ve found the quad to make mine meat of just about everything

Yeah, I am sure I have sunk more ships with AA guns than torpedoes or the deck gun.
