Crew stations during rest periods.
I like the fact that your officers have to go rest after prolonged duty, however their duty stations should not remained unmanned during that period. Prime examples are the radio and navigation stations. These should be filled by the new watch crewmen. Granted their abilities may be less than the regular officers but the stations would be constantly manned and your officer would return when he has been fully rested.
Also, your officers should obey what command you give them immediately, no matter what they are doing. Too many times I have given an order to find out that my officer is still bailing out or gone to rest. If he is due rest then he should work at a slower rate than normal or use the coffee consumaable.

Agree x1000

This is why we need a few extra crewmen to take those stations while the rest of the crew is resting!!!

This is why they had shifts and "Hot Bunking" during patrols!

DEVs PLEASE ADD MORE CREWMEN!!!

You need to be able to set watches. German subs used the 2 watch system, thus the IWO and IIWO.

I also agree!
When i have 2 people working on the radio station, then either both are working or none. I would like to see them rotating shifts.

With reputation you buy more officer slots.

Soon you have enough officers to crew everything all the time.

There are only a few examples where I have seen this. It also does depend on the position itself. Both of the engineer positions of chief engineer/mechanic they will stop and go to bed by themselves.

Five positions where they will not are navigation, periscope, top watch, radio, and listening room positions IF you manually clicked them to those positions. If, for example, you just took one of your leaders and assigned him to the chief boatswain position and he moved himself to the navigation station then he can also move himself off to go to bed. If you manually clicked him to any of those five positions they will stay there regardless of fatigue.

It would be great to be able to assign shifts. Saying once you've reach 1/4 energy have a rest and have your buddy take over. The roles seem to work a little, but I've had where the new person doesn't take over the shift. This should be on all positions. It's good have the roles that will do dfferent roles, especially repairs and such, but it needs fleshing out.
