Periscope depth too low??
Many times when I'm at said depth visibility is quiet low, even when seas are calm. Is it supposed to be this way?
I often end up setting depth to 7 or 6 meters manually to have to periscopes stick out a little further but that increases the chance of getting spotted even if the sub is clearly still under water.

For some reason the person on the parascope does NOT extend the parascope all the way up. If you enter 1st person mode on the parascope crew man you can see you can extend the parascope higher and when you leave the crewmans 1st person view they lower it again.

I would like to see the periscopes go up/down incrementally. IMJO

yeah in manual mode look in the top left and you will see a ruler with the water level and carrot mark(your periscope height). At the top and bottom there are arrows for periscope up/down.

I use the ruler for place the scope more up but when I change the view the AI always use it back and make the scope lower again and I have to fix it again each time.

This keeps happening for me too. Really annoying.

go to 7 meters and it will work much better

The AI probably does this to reduce the signature.
A high Periscope is easier to detect, oth by eye and by radar.

Jep 7m is the answer, but the devs keep it to 8 an 10m!

yes it was that way cause higher periscope over water ,easier to be spotted ,also if you was not deep enough its easier to spot ur conning tower ( i talk bout real in game it could be easier ;) ) use mechanic to work on depth rudders while you use periscope it helps a bit
