Sea Wolf
Does anyone know what a stoic sea wolf is? I have two but have no idea what they do or how to utilize them? Any ideas suggestions?

They dont care if the moral is low
Hardened sailors, they can handle pressure. They dont start crying and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ or panicking in other words ;P

What is the criteria for getting them? Just keep dropping morale and it's a random % or ?

It's an underlying character trait, the sailor either is a sea wolf (no effect from morale reaching zero) or they have the coward trait and have a heart attack or start screaming when morale reaches zero

I don't see this mentioned but the obvious thing to do with a seawolf is to promote him to an officer--it will cost you 1 rep point for that, plus 1 rep point to increase your officer crew. A good investment it seems to me. If you can score another officer with some mission start sending him for upgrade missions.

Isn't it a waste to make a Sea Wolf an officer since officers don't panic anyway?

I would agree

By the time I feasibly have the reputation points to spend on this sort of stuff I've already stacked up so many patrols that I have a full stack of highly decorated officers with a (mostly/largely) Sea Wolf crew.
Maybe we could spend points on re-training crew (not officers, crew) for a specific task (reloading torpedoes, engine mechanics, radio/listening device etc) and dedicate them under said officers?

i'd like it if when you acquire a new crewman that you could still look at their history. for some reason that's not available once they are part of your crew. As an example, I acquired a Mike Weber who I thought would be awesome given his background. he ended up being the biggest baby of them all.

How about combining that with a 4th class of crew member "Petty Officers"? Spend points on training crew for a specific task and dedicate them under said officers as Petty Officers separate from the existing crew cap. A max of say 14. Skipper 1/1 Officers 7/7 Petty Officers 14/14 Sailors 18/18 when all maxed.

Which is close to wartime crew complement. Good idea!
