If your looking for a multiplayer new sub type game try looking at Wolfpack here on steam,

If your more in to solo play Uboat is what your looking for.

I agree

OBoat is much more like Silent Hunter with a focus of crew-simulation and up to now designed for single players, its strategic gaming, you can upgrade your crew and your boat

for co-op multiplayer and a breathtaking good Type VII simulator, you should looking for Wolfpack

Of course the problem with an exclusively multiplayer submarine game is that you have to depend on other players. Lots of talk in Barotrauma discussions about trolls purposely screwing things up for everyone, and I heard there are 30ish competent players you can join up with in Wolfpack. Maybe that's just talk, but not everyone can handle that level of simulation. The way I understand it, you actually need to know how to fire a torpedo like they did in the second world war. While that sounds awesome to me, I still have some learning to do...

Dont buy it or refund it if you have already and no its not multiplayer and i hope it dont ever get multiplayer. Buy Wolfepack if you want a multiplayer sub game

I played 1.5h until it crashed when steam crashes, I'm still not sure wethere to continue playing or refund it. I want to give it another go but max refund playtime is 2h and just the tutorial took me 1.5h and I didn't even Finish it...

To be honest I really wanted it to be a success and gave multiple chances, but it is still buggy and clunky as hell.
Been trying after every single patch and there are as many things solved than broken - from hard computer freezing, to crashes, abysmall performances when showing simple smoke on screen, buggy pathfindings, just retried now and also have overlapping and frozen enemy ship marks, crew pathfinding issues, unresponsive UI more than ever. Time dilatation is a thing as well...

On my side I'm giving up. I've been fighting to defend such kind of niche game attempt for monthes, but just can't bear playing such a messy game anymore.

I personally regret having spent money on this and went by the refund period.
As much as you can be tolerant, understand that it's small team etc etc - nothing justifies such buggy mess, multiple monthes after release. Hell if I was doing that in my day to day job, I would get fired in less than a week.

So disapointed.

Here here!!! I feel the same way. It is sad to see. I had high hopes for this game. I understand it is still in EA so I have not given up hope completely. I am hoping another group of game developers get together and create a subsim that I was hoping UBOAT would have been.

Early Access seems to be everyone's response to any sort of negative criticism about games these days. I agree, yes bugs are expected... but when the level of bugs becomes so great that the game is not fun anymore then there is obviously something wrong. I would say 75% of my playtime in this game so far has been filled with anger because something never works how it should or breaks. The devs aren't listening or don't read the bug reports here on steam I guess. All we get are bug fixes of bugs I diden't know was even a problem. The ones everyone is complaining about is failed to be fixed. We got one good update that was a positive for the game, in my opinion. That was the revamped time compression system. As I expected though it broke more than it helped honestly. Then they did one of the most horrid things I have seen so far... there was a bug that let you take advantage of the new transferring cargo to the storage room, It allowed you to stack items past the item stack limit while they were being transferred. Now this would not be a problem had we been given sufficient storage room in the first place. We have what is it, like 4000kg to use with maybe 10 slots. You would have to fill the whole storage with ammunition to hot the cap probably. The crew needs food so thats a no go. You shouldn't dare leave port without at least a full galley of food, and around 4 stacks in the cargo because they eat up the food so fast they will starve to death if you try to do a proper patrol. Im not even going to get started on the storage locker space for the officers equipment and how rebreathers don't stack.

I also saw the amount this locker could hold in kg with soo little slots XDDDDDD such a joke. I want to play cuz I like the consept of 3rd person submarine game, but if it turns out ♥♥♥♥ it will be the worst place I spent 20 euro on

Yes, there is something wrong, your expectations. If this were an EA release and there were no updates then rage to your heart's content. If there are bugs and it is still in EA and you don't want bugs... bug off and wait til it is released.

theres nothing wrong with my expectations. Early Access is not a catch all for getting to release utterly broken and unplayable games. So infact you need to "bug off"

Lots of bugs, lots of things that are simply stupid (ie. the storage room issues outlined above, or rather the fact you cannot upgrade the number of slots / weight it can carry), clunky UI, but still very much worth it in my honest opinion.
It's called early access for a reason. I find it stupid when people buy early access game then are shocked that it's somehow not a polished game with no bugs.

For it's price it's worth it and the devs are contiuning to develop and update things (on the test branch) almost daily.

Aye. EA means bugged, missing content, and generally wonky gameplay. To be fair Uboat is "getting there", and is in a better state than some retail products I have actually bought in the past.

Is it worth it? Yep. Devs know what they are doing and going about it the right way. Bug hunt first before adding more. Gameplay is good, graphics are good, and its good value for the money asked..
