B52 Flying fortress

Back in the day, there was something similar where you controlled the crew of a bomber.

If this Uboot is a success which im sure it will be, would be nice to see a Bomber game with a crew, from the pilots, navigator to gunners or something just as great!

What about the inside of a tank! Working with the tank crew. Maybe even a few tanks, and some infantry to command.

Yes it was a great game. The B17 Games. And is available on Steam Downside is, you had to have a 1990's joystick to run it right, Otherwise you were subjected to mouse arounds and trying to do everything with the stamdard issue keybpard commands

B17 would make a great remake now with current graphics, better gamplay and more powerful PCs would be awesome made by the right devs. Too bad so many have gone away from simulations, IL2 folks only ones I think, but I miss the B17 style of gameplay which we will get with UBoot

B-17 is still the best crew management game on The Planet. Bought it new, trying to play it on an out dated IBM Tower, Albeit I had Widows 5 Support. What sucks is if you have a updated computer, and try to use a military grade joystick from 1998, to run the game, to get the plane in the air, along with being the gunners. The jpys ticl having cost your right atound, 185 dollars in todays samolean s. And all you need is a simple adapeter from the multuiple fifteen or whatever number to a USB attachment, for around 9 dollars. That sucks a basketball through a garden hose. Bought the Steam game......NOTHING.....has changed, but the rocl bottom proce, for this game. Which is now the cost of a salad at a famous Frachise Gnosh Pit, of your choice.

Yes the Mighty Eigth is an awesome sim. Still have my manual and I remember spending so much time just on learning how to start the engines. I'd love a new generation version too! Uboot is looking very good and I'm looking forward to it. M1 Tank Platoon was great by Microprose. You should take a look at Graviteam's tank sims. They are very well done and may be what you are looking for DuneSurfer.

Actually there was a Sim game by the name of B-52, but you could switch between the plane positions via 1st person. Pilot, Tactal, Navigator, etc.

But on another note. Imagine a game similar to Uboot....but Star Trek. Managing the crew of the Starship Enterprise. I think that could be interesting...

The word was going that http://www.a2asimulations.com/ bought the B17 game rights and do a makeover.
They did the same with Battle of Britain but I guess it's stays with a rumour or it stays very hidden.
