any way to mute your own mic?
The sound options only seem to affect other players microphone, not yours.
Turning the voice off via steam settings is not an option because it mutes the mic globally so you cant talk in any VOIP software then

You can try doing Push to Talk in the Steam settings.

capcom hasn't acknowledged anything. they are likely gathering bug reports and then will work on a patch.

read this:

best to deactive all recording devices in the control panel under sound. and in steam itself lower mic and receive volume to the minimum and set the push-to-talk-button to something you won't use.

additionally I also disabled all the recoding devices in the sound settings of the windows control panel.

I tried almost everything, here is the result :

- The game use the default recording device. Whatever config you use on Steam will NOT affect MvCI (every single tutorial about MvCI and Steam config is bull***)
- Muting the microphone physically will prevent stutter / lag.

So to summarize and allow you to play in lobbies without stutter or lag :

- Set any other audio device which doesn't produce any audio output to "default recording device" in windows
OR
- Mute physically the microphone while you are playing.

At the moment it means you can't have voice chat while playing in a lobby if they don't patch it.

setting something like "line in" as default communication device in windows and muting it seems to work. Just remember to set your actual microphone to be used in ts/mumbe etc
