Using a fightstick
I can't seem to have my fightstick as the P1 controls. When I go into the control screen, it only allows an existing xbox controller to be P1 even though it isn't even connected or turned on.

I am able to use the fightstick just fine as P2. I can also go into a vs match and manually switch the fightstick to p1, but it only works for that game mode. I am unable to use my stick as P1 for Story, Battle, Training or Mission mode.

Is there a way to fix this?

That's not a very good solution if I want to use the xbox controller as well.

What stick are you using? I'm very curoius if my Hori PS3 stick will work at all or if I'll have to hack it like SF5.

I'm using a Qanba Obsidian.

I also just tried uninstalling the xbox controller drivers and restarting the game. I'm still having the same issue.

Try setting up your stick as a Steam Input Controller so the game recognizes it as an Xbox controller as seen above. Depending on which type of stick you might have to enable generic controller support, ps4 controller support, or xbox controller support.

You can change the "controller order" with the Steam Big Picture overlay to switch 1st and 2nd player, etc.

MVCI is not picking up my XBOX 360 TE2. Not sure why. On plug in it works, and the inputs change to controller, and then die instantly (no joystick or button inputs work). If i leave it plugged in and on and start the game, it doesnt respond at all.
