Have you tried direct input vs wireless? Also can you confirm this works with xbox 360 controllers? So far I have tried old PS3 Madcatz TE fightsticks vs Xbox 360 wireless controllers and was unsuccessful. Both controllers are recognized by Steam but not individually recognized by MvC: Infinite. I have heard that you can connect two wireless Xbox 360 controllers plus an old Madcatz fightstick which should work although I have not tested this yet. I will update once I have confirmed.
Hopefully any 3rd controller does the trick? Hope this helps.
that is correct for the most part, to make it more efficient though you can go into the game's options, then in options go into system and enable "controller select", if you have 2 controllers acting as player one (as most appear to have here) and have a Direct Input/XInput switch on your gamepad then switch one of those gamepads to the other mode and it will be recognized as a new (aka 3rd) controller, that will bypass the issue without the need for owning a physical 3rd controller.
