I think people should focus on making the most of the community they have instead of worrying about what’s ‘dead’ or not. After all, even a smaller player base can still mean great games and memorable moments.

The reason the US servers are more active is because a lot of the people in the North American fighting game scene are absolutely cognizant of it now is because Maximillion Dood, Justin Wong, IFC Yipes, and many others are creating new videos about it.
The same needs to happen in Asia if you want to see more people coming on board, otherwise the numbers are going to stay the same. If you want it to gain more notice, you should create youtube comments on the more popular fighting game channels mentioning the mod, then go on the Asian Reddit/Discord channels, and do the same there. Hopefully it'll get more traction then.
