This looks...
embarrassing. That roster of characters is tiny compared to MvC2 on older consoles... Like holy crap where is everyone? ooh yea... hidden behind future micro transactions.
Hard pass...

Yea... about that. Didn't realize at the time Steam was advertising old crap to me. Still though... that character roster is an embarrassment considering the catalog both companies enjoy.

They'll never beat MvC 2. An they know it. It's why we haven't seen an HD release of it yet.
Only other guess would be because Marvel no longer has the rights to Shuma Gorath (the tentacle guy), technically that character belongs to the Conan license.

I mean, at this point we all knew this since 2017.
But MvCI beyond mod is there for people that want new balancing that enjoyed the game and it's cheap enough to buy for entry at this point compared to $40-$70

It's worth $12 of fun for the entry price

While not officially confirmed, it is rumored that the total budget that MvCI had during its development was comparable to a single Season Pass of Street Fighter 5, so back then Capcom had to recycle a lot of characters from MvC3 and retire a lot of them. Didnt helped that Disney came in and demanded that the game had a lot of MCU Influence, completely removing all the Mutants and characters they didnt had immediate plans for.

Hopefully they have now learned their lesson!
