This takes a little head cannon and reading between the lines but let me break it down for you. Capcon a gaming company is conserned games and there sales. Marvle a multy media corpartion cares the lest about games out of all there media. Capcon wanted MvC 4 and was told probs not happening (around the time where marvle sold the gameing rights to some moblie company) with MvC 3 underselling.
Capcon come back few years later and beg again this time they allowed it but only with there movie charicters that are coming up in movies soonish, as advertisments. then capcon has to explane why they are not using said charicters and NDA says you cant lump it on marvle. so they come up with a retared excuse, imo "no on rembers the x-men" is from marvles side looking at there what there company puts out ignoring sony.
Like if your going to blame a side for this its clearly marvles fault (dont get me wrong capcon done ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up with SFV and animations this game). Marvle loves $ over fans thats been evdent for years.
I will hold off buying this game until the X-Men are included in the game.
Same here! Once I see em, I'll be picking the game up!
I hope you guys enjoy paying either $30 for the season they're in or $7.99 per character on top of the base game's cost.
Cuck.
the only plus for you guys is that disney has now bought fox so give it a year or two and the x-men will be back in games
This has been explained a thousand times. Fox purchased MOVIE RIGHTS not VIDEO GAME RIGHTS. They are DIFFERENT LICENSES. I'm so sick of idiots parroting other idiots who don't know how licenses work. Marvel could have put the X-Men in at launch. This is not a movie, this is a video game. They chose not to do so because they are using this game to advertise MCU movies.
Fox doesn't own ♥♥♥♥ by the way. They hold a license. Marvel still owns the X-Men even before Disney bought out Fox. They simply now are owned by the new owners of Fox which means they can start putting X-Men characters in MCU movies. Fox has had the rights to the X-Men since 1994 by the way. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Men_(film_series)
Look at all the games released since then that the X-Men were in. You know when the first X-Men fighting game made by Capcom was released? 1994 and it was COTA. Kind of makes you look stupid for saying "Fox owns the X-Men so they can't be in games" doesn't it?

I absolutely agreen with this. To me, it seems Marvel is now don’t how the licensing works. Only adds contents which appeared in MCU-based movies/live actions for that Movie Universe’s promotion on this legacy game series, & the other Marvel games like Lego Marvel Superheroes series (sans Disney Infinity) is definitely a bad idea.
