“All the characters that I've heard that are in development (to various extents and from multiple sources, but not all saying the same things I might add, which is something strange in and of itself) include: Star-Lord, Ms. Marvel, Green Goblin, Wolverine, Cyclops, Psylocke, Magneto, Storm, Deadpool, Doctor Doom, Daredevil, Asura, Lady, Gill, Rashid, Captain Commando, Nina, Deis, Regina, Gene, Vergil, Akuma, and Apollo Justice.” (source: http://comicbook.com/gaming/2017/11/12/marvel-vs-capcom-infinite-leak-x-men-fantastic-four/)
Also, Capcom sucks at public relations, so they're probably hammering away in their cave as we speak.
I get the feeling half the DLC in that list is coming as one final hoorah, then they're scrapping it and forgetting this game existed.
Not to mention the mainstream comic events Infinity Countdown & Hunt for Wolverine, including the return of Fantastic Four soon for Marvel’s Fresh Start
Don't expect DLC of any kind.
I dunno why a lot of you forget, Capcom has always been silent when it comes to critique of their fighting games. UMVC3 survived for 6 years without as much as a peep outta Capcom. Just wait and see if it'll happen, the attention the game is getting with sales here and there do say otherwise.
You don't have to buy them. Was worth imo.
This.
It's not about silence to critique (I get that), it's about promises of future content, or more accurately the lack of promises of future content. SFV never went 10 days without the promise of future content or a huge official tournament series in the horizon.
And yeah UMvC3's community survived 6 years, but we're not talking about the community here. We're talking about official support and content. The topic is literally about DLC characters. :/
If I remember correctly, when UMvC3 was delisted from the Xbox Marketplace and PS Store, Capcom made an official announcement just days ahead of taking out the game.
MvC2 "survived" 10 years because MvC3 was announced. UMvC3 "survived" 6 years because MvCI was announced. Also, neither MvC2 or 3 had to compete with a game like Dragon Ball FighterZ.
