Why all that hate?

TL;DR: less hate focused in details and personal preferences, more enjoyment of the actual gameplay.

This is my first MvC so I'm not that biased by UMcV3. I prefer 3d fighters (Tekken and Virtua Fighter) over 2D games (Street Fighter and BlazBlue, both I like), so I don't understand all the hate coming from 2D fighters fans.

People complaining about faces...in a 2D fighting game where you won't pay attention to it like 90% of the time.

People complaining that it isn't the same art style than UMVC3... I remember all the hate that SFV received because it wasn't the same look of USFIV even it is more realistic, but then people got used to it. Like any other new game, you will be used to these new grapichs and realize than comic art style had his time.

People complaining about this game is not like UMVC3...well, it a new game in a saga, do you prefer a remake and after 4 years another remake so you always play the same game?

People complaining about launch content...It has story mode, arcade mode, vs CPU battles, Beginners League, a good netcode, 30 characters...has everybody forget about SFV launch content?

People complaining about the roster...Ok I wanted X-Men too but...if they wouldn't put any new character people would have said: "wow same characters gj Crapcom!!1!1!" "only 3 new characters for 60$?!?!1?! wp Scamcom" ...New game, new content (I hope they put X-men in this)

People complaining without owning the game (if all the people who is complaining would have bought the game, steam sales would have increase suddenly!) or after only 1 hour of gameplay in Day 1!!


I was afraid of not liking the game or being frustated with 100 hit combos but...this game is so fun! is slowly growing on me and it has a lot of potential and a lot of variety. I like discovering that Dormammu can do different combos depending of his hands, I like Hulk calling names on the roster based in his appearance, I like comboing hyper combos, I like the Infinity Stones (so fun!) and I like all the content that is coming! (not happy with this kind of business model)

I play it on ps4 the games alright a bit ugly but it plays well. I enjoy it. BUT its missing Wolverine, Magneto and Dr doom. That Function statement by Combofiend is biting this game on the ass. It doesnt have those three so people dont want to play it. Folks just arnt that interested in Captain Marvel.

They need to get Wolverine in as free dlc just lift his UMVC3 model and cram it in there more people will play then.

Becauae the people who are happy have no reasone to come to the forum, they are just playing the game. Thats a big reason.

You're right. All the hate (while relatively understandable) is still blown out of proportion.
The gameplay is awesome, online play works great and returning characters have plenty of new additions to their moves.
I also did end up liking the story mode, even though it is a bit rough around the edges.

Yes, the game has lacks and issues but these are not that important to forget/shade the good things and all the content of it.
I feel like it's a complete and finished game, not like others.

And sure we want X-Men (even me that didn't play with them) but I'm sure they will come sooner or later, until then enjoy new characters and new features in old ones.

All the hate remidns me what happend to mass effect andromeda. That while a good game(bought it on release date) people were complaining all the time about animation . Then it sold very bad and ea deccided to stop the series. Let hope that the same thing will not haappen to marvel vs capcom infinitie.

Becuase with the amount of money and resources capcom have they should be doing far far far better. Look at how much money and resources ARCSYS has in comparison and look at how much more work they do, a team of 8 made GG XRD SIGN. Meanwhile they have DBFZ, been working on BB, BB CROSS TAG and working on GG still. Then there are ART and roster preferences, plus gameplay. Some people for example hate Infinite's scaling. Some people hate how capcom are literally taking characters out to sell as DLC. MH in story mode and trailer drops before it even unlocks in ASIA!

who would have thought it people have different preferences, just because looking at sales, you are in the minority who enjoy it doesn't mean the hate is unjustified.

The amount of capcucks i've seen defending the game and giving it BS high reviews is also insane it goes two ways. Yes yes they are capcucks, people defending the CE showing the original comic design of the Stones. Guess what that's not what was advertised and the way the marketing and wording is done, people who bought it could do a class action lawsuit and win easily.

YET PEOPLE ARE STILL DEFENDING IT.

Go enjoy the game if it's so good and let the people who dislike it, rightfully or blindly do their thing.

This whole only say something if it's good mentaility is the most one sides BIAS BS possible.

Before people start on the ARC Fanboy bandwagon, I AM DISSAPOINTED WITH DB FIGHTERZ right now as it has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ massive neutral and variety problem that I HOPE IS FIXED. Or I will not be buying that game either

Of course, I'm not defending the business model of DLCs, nor the Collector Edition scam, not even Capcom company! They screwed up some things like other times so I can understand all the predisposed hate towards Capcom. But sometimes like this, has no sense.

People despising the game only because it doesn't have X-Men without buying it, people comparing it to DBFZ that it is only a beta and they are all hyped. What's the purpose of enter a forum to criticize a game you don't own or have tested?

Personally I will buy DBFZ because I like fighting games but for me is another GG or BB with DBFZ skins and it seems a bit fireball/teleport spammer...

To finish, I can assure that, even if you are not convinced for all the issues, give it a shot and it will surprise you. Is a fun game, and this is all that matters for me.

Nope I refuse to fund this game for multiple reasons. I played the demo, hated the mechanics, hate the roster, hate capcoms DLC attitude, I also really really hate the scaling. Every bit of footage I have seen looks awful, few hits here and there combos are trash until you build up the BS stone bar, and I hate the stones. I absolutely do not like 90% of what I have seen from this game and I want to see capcom get a massive financial whack to wake their lazy ass FG department up. This also has denuvo which has screwed up my machine in the past, so I ignore all Denuvo games now unless they get it removed. The implementation in this game may be fine but Mania did legitly screw my PC over, rolling back pre mania install resovled the crashing of my PC I got so yea.

If people GENUINELY enjoy it all to them though. ~

I'll probably jump in on the ultimate edition when they bundle together the inevitable ♥♥♥♥ ton of milking DLC this game is going to have. Including having people in story mode unplayable then releasing DLC trailers before the game is even out in ASIA. NOPE not funding that crap, CAPCOM NEED TO LEARN

Well...you don't like 90% of the game and I guess you played a lot of UMvC3 (if not then this saga isn't for you), that's ok.

But is not what I'm criticizing, not the "I don't like the game and it basics" opinions, but the bad reviews for just silly details or personal preferences (like voices, I like the voices of this game!).

You don't like the game and want Capcom to take note, ok. But people should stop trying to convince other persons to not buy it for minimal issues that doesn't affect the gameplay or the fun you can have in online.

While I can see where you are comign form MvC is all about the roster, when hardly anyone who is loved form the previous is in that roster and then has the worst rendition of them I can see why people would be hating on it. I think their comments and negative reviews are justified personally, with the amount of money and resources capcom have, they could have done better easily.

MvC more thanother games IMO is about the roster and if you hate the look and sound of one of your fan favourites, and that's the only people you want to use in the entire game... Then the game for them is bad

Then these opinions are not objective, but they criticize the game like they made an analysis and played it while they only hate personal stuff.

I hope they put X-Men in a future (DLC ¬¬) and a lot of legacy players come back :)

Not solid reasons, only personal preferences like faces, voices, graphics or characters, that doesn't make a game bad, it's just not for your taste.
So people must stop with all that "OMG NO-XMEN ♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME AWFUL GRAPHICS DONT BAAAAAYYYYY!1!!!" and just say "I won't buy it because I don't like it, will wait for the next MvC"

MvC3 wasn't a particularly good MvC game either, ya know?

MvC1 is and always will be the best game in the franchise, if this game is worse then 3 then it must be pretty bad lol
