dlc prices are so ridiculous
really guys im a fan of fighting games really i am. but this is getting really insane. people complained about sfv but at least i could earn all characters with fight money. regardless that 29.99 is basically a new game. sfv and mvci and now u see that happening on a perm base.

to be honest in gaming as a whole it is a ridiculous price for a splinter thin dlc. they are characters and not a game. u also hear stuff that it costs money. then how come people make better games with more content (RUST) and give free dlc every freaking time? this is so welcomed by people that RUST becamer a huuuuuuuuuuge succes. no dlc buying. just the game every freaking once in a while new content

also i welcome huge expansions such as the diablo 2 expansion and the morrowind expansion of eso but mvci? this is just getting ridiculous

one has to also keep in mind that these consumers/ most of us are just middle class average. and maybe once in a while we have struggling months where we think oha dlc. 29.99 shiiiiiiiiiiz.

the game is allready frankly shallow and bland. as much as i love to promote this game. but i just cant. they basically sell the game expensive and dlc expensive and they are not even proving themselve on solid base foundations?

we should not forget that capcom is an AAA company with very very very good games. dont diss the company as a whole. sfv uis awesome and updated by time. but this? this is so exageratingly prototype like

Good thing you're on PC and base game is around 20 bucks and same for character pass, meaning that overall, it's still cheaper than base PS4 game ...

If you don't agree with the prices, vote with your wallet.

I'm ok with 40 bucks for game + pass on PC ... but I get that official prices get to be expensive for some people ...

For Russian region, each DLC character costs more than 1/4 of the game's cost.

I also find it insulting how capcom calimed that chars would be 6 euros each and then they decided to bundle them whit skins for 8 euros forcing me to pay for ♥♥♥♥ i dont want.

In the end im not buyng any of the DLC chars till there is a sale on the season pass.

MVC2 whas msotly recicled sprites from all the capcom made marvel games and msot capcom games.
It did have 8 brand new characters to be fair (9 if you count servbot.)
But all the other characters are jsut recicled sprites from other capcom fighters.
People nead to stop using it as an example of a game that had a ton of characters day one like it whas an achivment.
Seiing as capcom didnt have to make all of those chars from scrach.

Id say MVC3 whas way mroe impresive seing as it had 36 characters day one and all of them whare brand new asets made for the game.
And 17 of them whare never playble in a fighting game before or to be exact complety new not sjut 3d models of existing 2d characters.
And they even made a theme for evry one while MVC2 only had stages themes.

Well they want you to buy the pass over individuals...so. ;)

Individual pricing only works if somebody really really wants just one character.

Man it's good a thing Capcom didn't hold finished characters for dlc ransom and repeated the mistakes of sfxt. That would of looked really bad with these dlc prices. :Aste_Roy:

I like open markets and people making money but without a social contract and education, you end up with negligent buyers consuming whatever is there simply because it is there. Video games have been a pretty shameful market since EA + Activision destroyed clan structure & private servers for FPS, Microsoft "pioneered" GFWL, Nintendo refusing cometitive pricing and frequently releasing new hardware, and (with much emphasis) Capcom going ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with DLC. It continues like this because my age group has plenty of people with disposable income and don't care... and younger gamers weren't around when things could be considered resonable, even sane. The younger ones have no experience in or frame of reference for the "expansion pack" age.

It's too bad video games can't have a "90's comic book" moment and crash hard for its own good. Video games are too nebulous as a whole for certain publishers to hurt the amount they should... and while AA + indie competition is certainly there, it's not enough to spur any significant change necessary for Capcom to restore its honor and glory.

Enough consumers are readily available to support Capcom DLC. Not enough gamers care about the absence of reason in the market. Good guys are vastly outnumbered, enjoy your palette $waps.

PC game is easy to find for around 16 bucks now ... it was around 20 at launch

Character pass for around 20+ ...

You expect it to go even lower ?

You guys need a job :) Or just need to drop playing fighting games ...

MvCi plays great, Sigma and MH are awesome (I like Panther a bit less, but hey, he seems fun if you like rushdown characters).

Isn't that what matters in the end ? Good gameplay and a fun game ?
