Lighting Cannon in cave during Haunted House Mysteries

Can't light the cannon, loaded the gun powder, attached the fuse, loaded the cannon ball and then tried to light the fuse. No such luck. I saw on another site you have to place the fuse first before you put in the gunpowder and cannon ball. I don't want to start over because of this ridicules glitch, have the developers fixed this? Is there an update?

Like I wrote above:

For anyone having trouble with this - you have to put in fuse first, then the powder, then the cannon ball. The fuse will light with no problem then.

I have the same problem. I've stuck. After a few hours of playing, I don't want to restart the game from the beginning once more... to try a diffrent order of actions -maybe it'll work..., maybe not. ( There's only one save point in this game - the last one with this bug.)

just leave the area then come back. that resets the progress on that puzzzle

The action takes place in the cave. The entrance to the cave is blocked by a grate. I can't go in any direction. Other locations (other areas) are unavailable to me. I can't go back because of the grate that has just blocked the entrance to the cave. So I MUST use the cannon to break the wall. But I can't use the cannon because of this unfortunate bug.

It's a bug. My matches don't work. I read that the order of action is important: fuse, powder, cannon ball, matches. When I played this game I first used powder, then cannon ball and then fuse. And now matches are useless. I should play the whole game once more from scratch to use these things in different order. I don't feel like repeating almost the entire game.

once again exit the area. you can do so. I did it long ago. once again you are doing something wrong. you can redo the sequence without redoing the game

I was watching these videos on YouTube but my fuse only sparkles but aren't burning and cannon doesn't fire.
Sorry, nothing works.
Maybe if the last "save" wouldn't have been done, I could "redoing" and go back. But SAVE was done. I can't go in any direction and my matches don't work.

just quit the game and then come back in. i did it wrong the first time and I reloaded the cave and did it correct the second time. the cannon reset
