Replacing Savefile
So last year, I spent some time grinding in the game, only to come back a few months ago to find my saves have been wiped for reasons unknown, effectively sending about 50 hours of progress down the drain. Not wanting to risk going through that again, I decided to look around for a 100%-ed savefile online. However, I've been having no luck getting it to replace my old one despite having followed the instructions given.

No matter where I put the 100% save I downloaded or how many times I try and replace my original save with it, something in the game overwrites it with the original every time I start it. I've tried this with both the .db3 files present within the local folder and the documents folder for the game, yet my old save keeps appearing.

If anyone out there knows how to replace a savefile without your old one constantly overwriting it, please let me know.

Hello,

Turn off the Steam cloud profile synchronization for City Car Driving – open your Steam client, click on City Car Driving with right mouse button and choose “Properties” from the context menu. Then open the tab “Updates” and there turn off the option “Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for City Car Driving”.

Unfortunately, I can't find a setting in the Updates section related specifically to steam cloud synchronisation under the Properties page, or rather that disabling the option labelled "Keep game saves in the Steam cloud for City Car Driving" in the General section has not resolved the issue.

Then maybe you've put the save file in a wrong place.

It's located at "...Documents\Forward Development\City Car Driving..." folder (the file profiles.db3)

That's where I've been putting it the entire time, but it still gets overwritten every time I try.
