Hello. Try running the game directly from it's executable file - "...\Steam\steamapps\common\City Car Driving\bin\win32\Starter.exe" - do you see any error in that case? Try installing DirectX and Visual C++ components from this folder manually, go to this folder -
"...Steam\steamapps\common\City Car Driving\_CommonRedist\" and install all the components from there.

In some cases this folder can be located in a different place - "... Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared".

The folder isn't present after I reinstalled City Car Driving. Can you share a list of DirectX and C++ components that I need to install so I can do it manually? I'm also having this same issue.

Never mind, I found the folder. However, I still cannot launch the game even after installing DirectX (although I don't think that\s necessary since I'm already on Windows 10). I also stopped syncing to cloud data and reinstalled the game. I don't have any mods installed in the game. What should I do next?

You should install not only DirectX, but all(!) the components from there - all Visual C++ components also. And install them "as administrator" by launching through the context menu (clicking them with your RMB) and "Run as admin" option.

Uninstall any previously installed Visual C++ components from your system and them repeat installing of all(!) the components from the mentioned folder. And install them "as administrator" by launching through the context menu (clicking them with your RMB) and "Run as admin" option.

Also if your error doesn't solve post DxDiag diagnoctic file from your computer after the crash. You can upload it e.g. on pastebin.com
In order to create this file, press the "Windows" and "R" keys simultaneously on the keyboard, type "dxdiag" in the window that opens, and click OK. In the window that appears, click the "Save all information" button and save the file to where you can easily find it.

Nope, still not working even after reinstalling the C++ components. Here's the output from dxdiag: https://pastebin.com/T1gk9YxH

Do you use MSI Afterburner or RivaTuner? This software can influence on launching games. If you use them try to update apllications and videodrivers for latest version. If problem still appear try to disable them when launching simulator.

Yes, I use both. I closed them, and the game now runs. Then I just configured RivaTuner to not detect CCD so I can still run it even when Afterburner and RivaTuner are running. I guess I played CCD before I installed Afterburner which is why it used to work. Thank you so much!

Hello,

Please note that laptops (any) and computers with integrated video cards are not officially supported.

You can try advices below, but we cannot guarantee correct game working on laptops or computers with integrated graphics.

If your PC has both – discrete and integrated video cards, then maybe the game uses the integrated one for some reason. Try forcing the game to the dedicated one – right click on the game shortcut and select Run with GPU <your dedicated video card>. Or if you don’t have this option in the context menu, you can follow these advices – https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/pc-components/how-set-default-graphics-card-3612668/
