I'd love a Steam key for this. Bought it years ago.

would be rude to make us pay again.

Now everyone all of a sudden owns this game outside steam.
Want the game on steam? Buy it again, stop begging for free keys.

There are many gaming platforms. What if we all requested the other developers give out keys for every platform they publish to? You own the game, you already have it, you want to have it on a gaming platform? Buy it again. Simple

No one is forcing you to.

most developers have the courtesy to give a steam key to people that supported their game pre-steam. we will see how this developer does in this case.

no need to be aggressive, i don't think this effects you?

How am I aggressive?
Also you're a bit wrong there.
Lets say a dev publishes a game on Origin and you buy it, you play the heck out of it, you love it, it's your favorite.
That same game comes out on steam and you don't have it on steam. A dev wont give you another key so you can technically own 2 games.
A purchase gives you 1 copy of the game whether its steam, or physical copy or god knows what. He is not bound to give out keys for free for every platform he decides to publis the game in the future.

If the game was purchased through Origin, Uplay, GOG, etc I would agree with your stance. But I think people here have bought the game direct from the developer from their website, I think that makes a difference.

With rFactor 2 and Automobilista it was the same, if you bought the game before steam release, you received the keys with no cost. I don't see why this shouldn't be here different.

@ stubar: Agree 100%
