City test: how to end it properly?

This is starting to drive me (ah ah) crazy. After so many trials and errors (God, is this game unforgiving!!!!) I finally manage to run perfect city tests from time to time. Now, when comes the time to actually END the test, I'm asked to "stop the car at the nearest place permitted"... Could you be more vague, FFS? Should I find a parking lot? NOPE. Should I just stop the park in the street? on the boardwalk? By the boardwalk? Seriously, some clear instruction would be highly appreciated.

I'm driving Australia region. After displayed ' Stop the car at the nearest place. ', you would see that parking place near the green field. But before that, a message must have been displayed to let you turn to the left out of the road. I suppose you didn't turn to the left and drove straight the road. If you are driving America or non-Australia region, the message is supposed to display 'Turn to the right. ( Not Turn to the left.)

Thanks for your help. I finally managed to properly stop the car and end the city driving test (European driving rules): as soon as the message "stop the car at the nearest place permitted", I just slowed the car, used my right turn signal to inform the other cars that I was about to park on the side of the road, and stopped the vehicule there WITHOUT touching the boardwalk to avoid penalty point. And that was was it :)
I still believe that the instructons need to be clearer and more precise, since the game never define what a "proper permitted place" is. Hope this helps a few newb like myself ^^
