Make the City Track Test easier to pass
Since months I am stuck in the career level "driving school student", because I can't pass the City Track test. I tried it a lot of times for months and my furthest attempt ended right after the motorway. Many times I was stopped by CCD bugs.

My conclusion: compared to the other exercises in this level the city track test is far too difficult. This is very annoying to me because it blocks me from the more advanced course levels.

My recommendations:
- shorten the test. At least in the beginner's level it should cover a shorter distance
- remove some annoyances (e.g. the 40/20 km/h speed limit at one of the crossroads)
- be more tolerant with violations (especially speed limits)

We consulted with our pro-partners who take exams and made test according their comments. For non-RF profiles it was made a bit easier. But you shuold remeber that first point of simulator is to teach, show how you should drive. And this test prepair you to real driving exam.

What is a non-RF profile?

It's profiles with any driving region except Russian Federation.

I think the main frustration comes from the fact that, once a critical mistake is made, you have to start all over.
I think maybe we can have a mode that allows unlimited mistakes for the test, and then show the list of all the mistakes made all the way in the end as a summary. This way we can practice the entire routine over and over and making fewer mistakes each time.

We will think about it and maybe a training exercise on test route will be added.

Im really getting peed off with this, its way too hard for novice mode, i wouldn't mind but i get right near the end of the route and out of nowhere you lose the 5 points all in one go and have to start all over again! the worst part is you actually have to complete this to unlock part of the city! How is it realistic to get like 6 or 8 points when your coming off the roundabout and get like 8 points in one go, going to go play another game for a while then come back to this as im wound up

Truth is that it is not to hard, its bad programming. First of all, it never mentions all the reasons why you failed. Second, sometimes the things they mention is just plain wrong; for example "moving in wrong direction" when obviously following the route. The u-turn is just a gimmick. Also it often says "forgot to use signal lights" when the signal lights were on. Is there anyway to mod between this exceptionally bad test?

I agree this is all too frustrating.

I can't pass the one before the road exam. The garage exercise its so bad made. I can't pass from there. When I am on free I can drive good but the exam its too difficult and one single inch its a restart.

you need to use the signal in the direction your car is moving.
for a left u-turn that would be left signal, right signal on reverse, left signal

For moving in wrong direction, be in also correct lane.

For stopping at edge of drive way that means don't leave too much space when you stop to the vehicle in front, etc. put on hazard if stopping for ped

Stopping rules, when not hindered by right of way is to pull to the side and stop with brake on, signal to get moving,

This is basic driver knowledge

This is not at all comparable to real world driving. In this it requires you to take an exit even if it is creating a risk situation, whereas in reality on a test if it is not possible to take an exit safely the driver should go around and approach again. It is also a fail to stop the car for any reason other than at signals or specific points, yet there are pedestrians walking in the road, is the driver expected to run into them? I have also seen multiple videos advising that when traffic signals begin to change, only stop if it is safe to do so in that distance. Yet here it is required to stop immediately as the lights change. I have found more bad habits form with these practices which can't be considered educational, despite this being recommended to me as such.

At one point in the road test, I was driving through an intersection in the left hand lane going straight {it wasn't marked a turn only lane) and was hit with a "wrong way" violation and had to start over again. I don't understand how I was going the wrong way when I was proceeding straight through the intersection keeping the vehicle in my lane.

At another point, I was in the intersection when the light changed from yellow to red. Instant violation and restart. In the real world, if you're in the intersection when the light is yellow, proceed at your present speed through the intersection to clear it, even if the light changes to red before you're completely through. This should't be a violation, or should only count as a minor violation at best.

I agree about the garage part of the test being too difficult. There should be more leeway in that test. They force you to be too precise or it's an instant fail.

I initially tried following the roundabout as shown here https://assets.digital.cabinet-office.gov.uk/media/559af891e5274a155c00001d/the-highway-code-rule-185.jpg However, this resulted in failing completely despite having the traffic rules as EU set (same as the image but reversed). I pointed this out and someone responded that this game is correct and I should never allowed to drive.

The intersection I went through was controlled by a traffic light, it wasn't a roundabout. I was in the left lane and proceeding straight on a road which bent to the left. I stayed in the left lane and received a "wrong way" violation. I'm trying to figure out how unless the lane I was in was a turn only lane, but wasn't marked as such.
