G29 shifter isues
anybody else having problems with their shifter, the game isnt detecting mines or i think and i cant set the gears, it just says stuff like -centre down and centre up but dosnt work please help.

I honestly think the newest update completely ruined this game. Lucky me, I just bought it, so I can get mine refunded if they don't fix it. I hope they do, though...
We have issues with steering (wheels and keyboards) and now shifters...
I really hope I can start playing this, it actually seems to be one of the few games I actually might enjoy, but we're not off to a good start...

I will test this today as well as i am getting my own G29 + Shifter ;)

please let me know if you get your shifter to work as i have had no success yet, wheel works fine but it does not detect the buttons 12-18 which is for the shifter gears. worked fine before update so hopefull it gets fixed soon :)

I had to configure mine manually but it is working okayish. My only issue is that it doesn't detect neutral so if I put the shifter in neutral then it just says in whatever gear it was in. I've had to configure a button on the wheel to force neutral which isn't ideal but okay.

EDIT: Solved my issue with the advanced option "Retain gear while button is pressed". Works great now!

i tried manuly it detects all buttons from my wheel but when i select the gears in game and try to assign them to the shifter nothing gets dettected

Ok so,

i just finished the install of the wheel and it works fine for me.
i have no problems with the shifter or wheel.

Did you try your wheel in other games? Is it work fine? Did you try to reset controls for defaults?

Hi NiZvErG nice to see a Dev here ;)

khota10 told me the problem was a profile in the Logitech Gaming Software he created for this game.
But i think he can explain it to you better than me, when he is online.

the problem was with the logitech drivers i think, after i updated the driver for the g29 it didnt detect the shifter in the old profile (which was defult) created a new profile and deeted old one and works fine

yes works fine for me now, you should try re installing your drivers as thats how my profile bugged out
