1. Calibrate your wheel and check if it works correctly in Windows.
2. Please note that you should connect your wheel to the PC and wait until the very end of its auto calibration strictly before(!) launching the simulator.
3. open the game settings menu and check if your wheel model exists in the preset list. If your wheel is listed there just select your wheel model from the preset list and that's all.
If there’s no your wheel model in the preset list you have to setup your wheel manually. In that case select the default preset and assign buttons and axes in the game settings. Go to the game controls menu and set proper wheel buttons and pedal axes for all actions in the game. To do that you should double-click with the left mouse button on every action in the list and then push the proper button or pedal on your wheel to assign this button or pedal for this action.
This video explains this process clearly and can help you to setup your racing wheel - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eENM08lu06w
If you're using a gamepad (or any other controller) the procedure is the same.
If yes, remove all other controllers from your pc, restart the pc and try again.
1. Update your wheel driver to the latest version from your controller manufacturer's website.
2. Calibrate your wheel and check if it works correctly in Windows.
3. Please note that you should connect your wheel to the PC and wait until the very end of its auto calibration strictly before(!) launching the simulator.
4. Launch the game, open the game settings menu and just select your wheel from the preset list and that's all.
1. G29 is installed
2. Logitech Gaming Software is installed
3. Computer was restarted several times
4. Start City Car Driving in VR
5. Select G29 from the preset list
All buttons are red. I tried starting the game, but the car didn't move, nothing worked. What to do now?
Go to Steam > Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings
Deactivate everything and start the game again.
Other possible solutions are that the G29 is plugged into a USB 3.0.
At least all buttons are black now.
Oh yeah, and thanks for nothing, support! Worst support ever.
2019 Oct - After adding windows mixed reality, the steering wheel is still OK, but Assetto Corsa don't have wheel response in OpenVR goggle mode, but OK in monitor display only. So I tried changing various and lost wheel response completely.
Finally solution found succeeded to undo my mistake. The controller options of the [VIEW_DETAILS] of the HOME app's game(s) inside the steamVR software must be "FORCE OFF". See picture link http://www.my-acoustic.com/images/steamVR%20home%20select%20game%20VIEW%20DETAIL%20manage%20controller%20-%20controller%20option%20-%20FORCE%20OFF.jpg
Our game supports almost all steering wheels, which are compatible with Microsoft Windows and DirectX. If your wheel has proper driver it should work fine. We recommend wheels with 900 degrees rotation for maximum comfortable gameplay.
If you're using a racing wheel you should set up it properly.
Before starting the game, please perform these steps:
1. Update your wheel driver to the latest version from your controller manufacturer's website.
2. Calibrate your wheel and check if it works correctly in Windows.
3. Please note that you should connect your wheel to the PC and wait until the very end of its auto calibration strictly before(!) launching the simulator.
4. Also, if you're running Steam version, go to "Steam > Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings" and deactivate everything there.
Then start the game and follow the directions below:
First, check if your wheel has the ready settings preset in the game controls menu. If it has one – just select your wheel from the dropdown list. For your model (G29) everything should work automatically from this point.
Make sure you've selected the steering wheel as your control unit in the settings\controls menu.
