htc problem

so thought i would try out this game first time with htc vive.
turned on stream VR then start game
nothing inside vive gogles.
but on the monitor screen wrong resolution and could not choose any options with the mouse pointer
"meaning i was restristed with the amount of area i could use the more pointer."
could not even choose any options
forced to shift alt delete to close application as could not do anything else.

Make sure you've installed the latest drivers for your VR headset. And try not switching on the Steam VR. Just connect your headset and launch the game, then choose HTC Vive in the game settings as display device and start the game. After the world loaded you will see everything in the headset.

i turned the htc vive off and tried to launch the game......
again the screen changes resolution and i am unabled to choose any game options. with mouse
i then varified game files two files failed restarted steam and tried to launch the game again
same thing screen resolution changed unabled to use mouse to choose game options.
my pc is upto date and i am running

win 10 pro
i7 7700k
16gig ram ddr4 3200mhz
1080ti gpu

all driver are upto date.

this seems to be the only game in my list i am having problems with.
can run all games except this one

Hello,

Maybe some problem with broken configuration or mods. Try these steps:

1. Unsubscribe from all mods.

2. Uninstall the game in Steam.

3. Manually delete the folder, where the game has been installed (it will remain after uninstallation) – …\Steam\SteamApps\common\City Car Driving

4. Turn off the Steam cloud profile synchronization for City Car Driving – open your Steam client, click on City Car Driving with right mouse button and choose “Properties” from the context menu. Then open the tab “Updates” and there turn off the option “Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for City Car Driving”.

5. Delete the folder "Forward Development" from your "My Documents" folder.

6. Install the game again.

just want to thank you for your help , the only thing i can think of that caused my problem
is before i was running triple monitor setup 5670 x 1080 in my settings and i did not change in game settings back to 1920 x 1080.
and your game did not reconize the single monitor by it self.
any way thank you again for your help have a very good weekend

HTC Vive Pro Eye. City Car Driving worked in VR and stoped. Thryed everything. Drivers and others is the lasts. It runs only in Cinema mode or at the monitor but not in VR. Help!

Try to close Steam VR before you launch simulator.

If you do as you advise, starting from not from SteamVR Home but from a shortcut on the desktop (with VR enabled and configured), then it gives an error initializing virtual reality. Displaying on the Monitor.
If you run from SteamVR Home, then City Car Driving, no matter how hard I try, still runs in theater mode, like a regular 2D application. Tried it many times. Other VR apps launch normally. In the spring, City Car Driving started without problems. SteamVR added Cinema Play Mode after version update. It was not there before.
