I'm really glad you enjoy the game so far!
I'll look into the points you mentioned and put them on my list.
However it's rather unlikely that I'll add more different environments or stuff like that simply because it's a lot more work than it adds value to the game currently.
Add in other points on the chessboard where you could teleport too sounds like a nice addition but for now you can use the touchpads (left for up/down, right for x/z axis) or the right stick on the gamebad and the rb/lb button for up/down.
Re thinking a move ahead: Try the challenges, you are white and need to win within 2 moves which is in each case possible. It's not that easy at first but if you take the time and think it through it might help you to think a little further ahead even in a normal game. At least it helps me somewhat if I'm "forced" to think a little further.
