About "Cemetery" is it the boss Dark Knight ?
The game will reward you by setting good cards combo.
Assuming you are total beginner
- Fighter is the only class with 0 stamina defensive card, while also granting good bonuses. Always discard shield card if you already havae multiple 0 stamina defensive card (Unless you Berserker).
- Your deck will constantly flooded with defensive card need you to discard especially when your stamina is high.
- Discard less useful card before you draw card exceeding limit (5).
School
- Guardian is perfect for beginner, doesn't require much combo. The ultimate "Tactical Strike" is 1 of the most useful card in this game. Raise Shield + Defensive Stance make you immune to 95% of enemy attack, if you're waiting offensive cards. Your defensive stance alone can make you immune to enemy with 2 attack, ignore such enemies first.
- Paladin is a perfect match with Holy Sword, which you no yet posses. Paladin school offer stronger card draw and stamina regain, but lower armor.
- Berserker are opposites of all other school. Problem is Fighter has more defensive cards than offensive, thus it is better to try off-hand Hatchet to increase your offensive chance. Berserker defensive get a huge boost if you have "Paint" as armor (Which you no yet unlock)
Weapon
- Flail/Warhammer has pros and cons, thus less suitable for beginner.
- Axe give you huge damage boost beginning of each combat, focus on strong enemy first.
- Sword is "basic yet practical" weapon here. Always try to Stab only when you chain. (Read the Chain pros/cons)
Armor
- Plate Armor is my best general situation armor. Combine with Defensive Stance, you have 4 armor which immune to most enemy and boss attack. Can use once per combat.
- Boar Skin, perfect with Berserker. Allow you to charge dangerous range enemy into melee range immediately. I having a dilemma use this or Paint.
Trinket
- Rosary is pretty powerful generally even you are not using Paladin. A total life safer and suitable for beginner.
- Lock Of Hair, speed up your Tactical Strike, draw cards and generate stamina fine.
- Holy Water, also quite good generally.
Off-hand
Never take the one overly defensive. Take the one that can shield bash.
Berserker + Holy Shield might seems weird, but deal HUGE damage to everyone while allow you to perform a undodgable strike (due to enemy being unaware).
Hatchet allow you to do more weak attacks chain and draw card. With Berserker, you can attack with 0 stamina while doing medium damage (6 ). If you know how to draw card well, keep a few school defensive cards.
Bag
Do you forgot to list the "Wine Bag" ?
Because this is most effective "Stamina" generation item. 9 + 1 card = 14 stamina.
And the negative effect is lower. All other alcohol are bad.
These guides , however, didn't teach you strategy on how to deal with enemies.
I always recommend kill those who can threat you. Ignore those who cannot attack pass your armor.
Basically, Fighter killing speed is around 1/3 of Wizard/Rogue.
You will get a lot of defensive cards, just waiting and play safe until you can throw out few offensive.
I little while ago defeated and gained Holy sword due to your recommendation.
I chosen Guardian School, Plate Armor, Axe, Lock of Hair, Heater Shield, Dwarven Ale Cask
I`d like to play through stage from now on Paladin style .
I`m korean and not to have the native language to English.
So, I have some difficulty to understand this game from linguistic phrasing.
But I want to express my thanks to you. :)
Although English is not my native language as well, but it is my most prefer language and trying to master it Because it is language of professional job
Your English writing in topic is fine.
Happy learning.
