Lost 47 hours of progress

Well that really sucks. My computer crashed midway through a run, when I restarted the game I had lost all progress. 8 hours at this point. No tutorials done, no items/subclasses unlocked, nothing. ♥♥♥♥ that's frustrating.

Hey wow brutal, fix your game please, now I just lost my 39 hours of progress. 0 unlocks for everyone, and as you can see from my profile I've clearly done a lot of achievements/bosses in this game.

Any response to this? Or is the game too old/unsupported that there is no real fix?

i support this post, lost like 60 hours of gaming due to a computer crash, not even a "yesterday save", nothing, i had unlocked all keys for all characters, took me forever changing strategy, etc, feels like wasted time now, can anyone share a save with me, and please fix this save process plz...
Great game besides that, keep balancing and keep i going, i love it

I'm slowly rebuilding after my second data loss. Definitely turned off Steam Cloud save, and religiously manually back up my saves after each play. I could share my save file here but it's mostly just Fighter process at the moment as I slowly grind back up.

Really sorry that you lost your progress and that it took us so long to answer. We both have full time jobs and spend most of our free time working on our next game. It's very hard for us to check all our messages unfortunately :(
In any case, we've been thinking about it and we'll be implementing a more solid saving system that will make regular backups to prevent this from happening, we will try to publish it during the next week.
In the meantime, if you've recently lost your progress and remember what items and keys you had unlocked, you can send us an email at [e-mail] and we can send you a save file with those items and keys unlocked, if you want.

It's ok, Plissken, thank you for answering this post, i really appreciate it :) Just hoping for your game to keep on growing, i love it :) better animations and "looks" would be nice, some gameplay balancing too, and this save issue, but it's already awesome ;)

Looking forward to the improved save system. Absolutely love this game, but the lost progress has been crushing. I sent an email with some deets so hopefully it'll all work out for me in the meantime.

Hi guys, we didn't have time to answer before but we pushed our latest patch this last weekend. It includes a fix that will hopefully make sure that bug with the saves never happens again. ;)
Oh, and it should work in all platforms, including Android.

Unfortunately, I seem to have lost my save as well. The game launches and says I have a game in progress on a Wizard with no items etc. It still says I've done the tutorials and got all the rewards, but I don't even have those on my characters. I tried using one of the backups, as well, but it didn't seem to do anything.

Nevermind. I launched the game again today and it all seems to be fixed. Not sure if it was because I restarted my computer or Steam, but it's all good either way.

I just lost all my progress too.
Just played last few days and finished 2 campaign without issue.
Suddenly today launch the game saw every item gone
