And I found out "boss items" are scale more toward "fun" instead of "practical".
My suggestion is make 1 more item slot for "boss item".
This boss item give some benefit while also cause drawback/risk in some other way.
Thus making the boss item = game mode.
Thank you for your thoughts, I've noticed your thread as well (and should maybe have posted my observations there).
I only disagree with your statement that these items are "fun" - I found it quite the opposite when I noticed that I permanently gimped my character by drinking that specific potion. I am all for more risk equals more reward, but this just was too much..maybe these bad status effects could be limited to one or two encounters, and then vanish? I mean, I have repeatedly spent 100 gold on it and forego other useful effects by not equipping anything else, which is a pretty big drawback in my book already.
The box can have a powerful demon, that according to someone 666 HP.
Good luck.
I only recommend play the boss items when you want to have a "less serious run".
I myself finished everythings with all classes aside few boss item unlocks.
Thus I am in the mode to experiment any funny thing .
Be strong !
I had the feeling it was a little bit too expensive and after some tests i have decided to lower the cost of making potions considerably. We´ll upload the changes this sunday.
The thing with the alchemy set is that while some potions have bad effects other can have very good effects (like permanent regeneration for example). :)
Hey Grim, no worries, and thank you for the reply and for having considered my feedback!
I would have probably taken a different approach (making the bad effects not lasting forever), but I'll gladly give the Alchemy Set another go once the next patch hits.
Cheers and thanks again for all your hard work!
