No influence on cutscenes and problem with dialogue.

During the game I haven't pick up "red thing/red rag or how it is called" near rabbits. There is some odd things about it.
1) In cutscene this item is mentioned on pictures as if it was taken.
2) During the game at the last part we listen to dialogue. Ted mentioned that they find some evidences (but they don't! maybe except for photo)

Was there any change? I'm still seeing the red cloth in the comics cutscene which is played after opening the attic for the first time, even if the red cloth wasn't picked up before
