seems like im stuck then, unless i finish the last run. wich is insane hard, now with the addon. the more often u beat the game, the harder it gets. im somehow stuck at a point, where the game ist just throwing tons of mobs into my face from start on -.-
My tip is to just try to get enough money and gear in the beginning by doing all possible battles and then trying to tackle the monsters later on.
I know the young heroes term is bit confusing, so sorry about that. However the challenges are meant to be end-game content, so I guess that kind of makes sense that you need to do a lot of unlocks before the temples.
Also just let me know if you have more questions, and good luck if you're still up for the game! :)
well im still on it. and even tho i dont play single player games (i need comp to enjoy) i still play HBH alot.
thank you for the advice, but im allready doing all of this. i try to go to every field on every map, farming money and spells.
i just have the feeling that u made it a bit to diffucult with the addon. since there are a lot more items/spells, which makes it harder to follow are certain build. the more stuff there is, the lower the chance of getting specific items (i hope u got what i mean)
and it feels like every time u beat a run, the game gets 2 times harder (not just 1 time)
+ sometimes the runs are impossible to finish.
like yesterday i had a pretty good setup. everything went smooth until secondlast area. out of a sudden 15-20 zombies (highest tier) showed up. no chance to beat that.
oh and (just a thought) but considering, that its very important to almost visit every spot on an area..."map vendors" are pretty useless, dont u think???
And yes, some runs are really hard, so also realizing to give up on some of them might be useful. I'm also not sure if I recommend going for specific builds because of the item variation, but there is nothing wrong with having your strategies.
I also remembered that there is this fan made guide for the elemental effects. Have you been using those?
Also thanks for the feedback, I agree that the game is really hard and I have never used the map vendors – but there haven't been much complains about the later difficulty so I think the player base is dealing with it.
Cheers!
Is there a part in particular you're having trouble with? Or just getting overwhelmed by enemies? I'm in the process of finishing up my own save file so I can try to give some assistance.
basicly my main problem is, that the if u beat the game more often, the enemies get stronger in new runs. more at a time and more hp.
this is ok, for like 1-2 times. cuz u are more knowledged. but it gets worse and worse. at the 3rd time the enemies get stronger, u cant help urself with knowlegde and tactics. u rely more and more on luck with items/spells.
i dunno how often i beat the game so far...i think around 8. and when i start a new run, with basic gear (even the first fight) i need like 2-3 hits for 1 enemy with my "heavy hitter" and this shouldnt be.
i think after the addon its even worse, cuz there are even bigger pool of enemies and items. so chances are higher, that u get stuff u dont need.
i know its roguelike and heavy rng based...but i think at some point its ridiculous.
if i dont get anything good on first map....i restart right away
Still sorry to hear you're still frustrated. The game does rely on luck but also how well you can gather money and combine the items you can get. Did you check the elemental guide by a fan I linked earlier?
There were also other good tips in this thread.
Sorry that I can't help much more, but let me know if you have any questions. We're also not planning to chance the game as a lot of people have fully completed[has-beenheroes.com] it.
