So, how do hero abilities work exactly..?
Do you have to place a specific spell into the slot with the ability to activate it? Or does it becomes active for all spells ones the slot is fillied? Either the game did not explain this properly, or I missed it.
Like, for example, Rogue's "when hero is buffed the buff is applied to other heroes" (or something along those line, typing from memory). I didn't notice it's effect at all. I had the spell that resets attack cooldown timer in that slot. I assume it is not counted as a buff then.. But the first spell that gives x2 the amount of attacks states that it's a buff, but still has no effect on other heroes.
So.. I ASSUME you have to fill in the slot with the specifit type of spell that would work with that specific ability?
I would like to know for sure though...

You have to put a specific spell in that specific slot to unlock the bonus for that spell alone.

So as for your example, the rogue's "buff party" slot bonus requires a buff spell to be placed in that slot. If you do so, then whenever you trigger that spell, the entire party will receive the benefit.

If however, you choose to put a fireball in there (which is a projectile) you can still use the spell regularly, however you won't get anything from the slot bonus.

It's a minor way of min/max'ing while playing around the RNG in this game. Don't feel too bad about not getting all the slot bonuses, but you could try to play around them in the early game, till you find the specific spells you need later on.

If not, it's always best to slot some spell in there rather than leave them blank.

Good luck.

How do you move spells in your slots??
Kligan Apr 6, 2017 @ 5:56pm
I don't think it's possible to move spells. You have to plan in advance for a chance of activating the passive ability.

Kligan is right, you cannot move spells.
